At SpeedTech you will only drive the finest and fastest NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, Busch Series, and Craftsman Truck Series race cars...all without a pace car to follow, with passing allowed!

Each driver will also receive an ADDITIONAL 3-5 laps with an instructor. Instead of following another car around the track, we'll teach you to negotiate the speedway based on identifying your marks. It's easier than you think and the memories last a lifetime.

Finally a NASCAR racing school event at Kentucky Speedway that allows passing!

SpeedTech Auto Racing Schools is the latest racing school to team up with Kentucky Speedway, but we allow passing and you can drive solo. And don't forget to ask about the "Race-Keeper" in-car video system, which is available for take home delivery the same day as your racing school program with SpeedTech.

North Carolina Speedway

Description:

Location: Just 70 miles from Charlotte...take Highway 74 East to U.S. Highway 1 North. Travel 10 miles north of Rockingham on US 1, and the track will be on the right. The Rock is about 80 miles from Raleigh...take Highway 1 South until you see the track.

History: Since 1965 and up until 2005, the North Carolina Speedway hosted top races two weekends per year. The Rock as it's also known as, is a true driver's track. This is the track that Randy Baker trained such drivers as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Joe Nemechek, Danny Sullivan, Jeff & Ward Burton, and more. They say if you can get around this "technical" speedway, then you can get around just about any other track with greater ease.

Richmond International Raceway

Description:

From the front entrance, follow the perimeter of the track on the service road clock-wise until you see the security guard by the Turn 3 main tunnel. Enter the tunnel and park at the designated SpeedTech banners and use the SpeedTech signs for guidance. Classes are held in the Media Center.

TRACK FACTS:
Distance:

Three quarter mile, measured 15 feet from outside retaining wall. RIR added softer wall barriers to the D-shaped oval. The track is a constant 60 feet in width, with 10 feet of apron width.
Banking:
14 degrees in turns, 8 degrees at starting line, 2 degrees on 860-foot back straightaway & front stretch of 890 feet.
